Use this interactive graph to see the changing demographics among Madison students since the 1990-1991 school year. The graph on the left shows the change in the percent of students of color and the percent of students receiving free and reduced lunch at each school over time. The graph below shows the changing racial composition and size of each school.
From 1991 to 2015, the number of black students increased from making up 12 percent of the district to about 18 percent. The number of Hispanic and Asian students has also grown over that time.
